Josh Hurley is an illustrator and screen printer who graduated from Falmouth university in 2012. Since graduating he has been pushing his screen printing further by hanging out with Print Club London last April and has recently co-founded his own design and print studio.

Based in Brighton, Sharon Tancredi is an award-winning illustrator and has worked for all sorts of clients including publishing, advertising, editorial, greetings cards and design, and especially children's books.

Heavily bearded and bald, Alborozo has been an illustrator since the age of 15. In the intervening years he's done a lot of drawing, created cartoons for Punch and Private Eye. Today he's still drawing, but a little fatter.

Jessica Exall is an illustrator and puppet maker from the sunny countryside of Kent. Her work is about bringing out the beauty and uniqueness in living things, that others may not consider beautiful. She is interested in nature and enjoys finding the bizarre and strange in wildlife and documenting it with inks.

Lorna is an illustrator and printmaker based in London. Her work focuses on the animal kingdom which she finds an endless source of inspiration. She loves to portray the myriad of characters in her head through vibrant use of colour, bold mark making and textures. In the past few years she has illustrated for a wide range of exciting clients, including Stella McCartney Kids, Frances Lincoln, Wimbledon Tennis, Waitrose and Tesco.

Our advice is if you love it and it's in your price range, buy it. 

2012 has been an action packed year for Natasha, seeing student life end with a Best of Year win at this year's D&AD Student Awards. She has also recently finished an internship with YCN and is now looking forward to 'making it' as a freelance illustrator. 

Rose grew up in France and returned to England to study illustration at University College Falmouth and in 2009 she was awarded a grant from The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust to further her studies. She currently lives in Cornwall by the sea, exploring new directions in printmaking and the presentation of illustration in unusual contexts. Her clients include: Port Eliot Festival, A-Side Studio, QEST, Waitrose, Origin Coffee, Country Living, The Independent on Sunday, The National Maritime Museum, The Guardian, Garden illustrated and the Woman's Weekly Magazine.

Lucy Driscoll is an illustrator and collage artist, graduating from U.W.E. Bristol in 2009. She creates collages using old annuals and encyclopaedias, heavily influenced by an artist's residency she undertook in rural Finland last December.  

Graham Carter is one of the most exciting illustrators currently working in the UK, and has worked at the forefront of his industry for the last 15 years. 

Since leaving The Royal Academy Schools in 1987 Martin has painted and exhibited extensively. He has screen prints in the collections of The Victoria and Albert Museum, The House of Commons and University College London Hospitals and paintings have been selected for The Royal Academy Summer Show on numerous occasions.

Ellie is an illustrator, printmaker and textile designer living and working in East London. We spoke to her about her work, her inspiration, her hot water bottles and staying on the 'acceptable side of spooky'.

Known for his elaborate fight scenes, Phil Wrigglesworth's clients include The Guardian, Computer Arts magazine, Wired, New Scientist and Penguin Books. We caught up with Phil and talked about his creative process, thoughts on the future of illustration and his preferred professions of cricketer and Cold War spy.

Alice is a freelance illustrator based in London. Twice shortlisted for the Macmillan Prize, Alice's clients include Random House, Pavilion Books, The Cheese Society and Ivy Press.

We first came across Alice's work when she started following us on Twitter – we liked it so much that we invited her to become a part of the illustrato.rs community.

Jason Lear

Jason Lear is an illustrator and artist working in traditional and mixed media, inspired by fashion, beauty and the people he sees in his day-to-day life. We spoke to Jason about his working processes, sources of inspiration and hopes for a craft rebellion.

We visited Nadine Faye James at her studio to talk about where she's heading with her artwork: the answer is that she's been venturing out into the wild to create a fascinating series of landscapes (we'll be showcasing these on the blog soon). Nadine has never made life easy for herself when making her art, from creating portraits using a manual typewriter to producing paintings while standing in a freezing field or getting up at the crack of dawn to make drawings with a "crepuscular" feel.
